After a few Valentine’s Days spent with dates who were less than stellar, I adopted an almost foolproof plan to make the day better than average. In addition to being kind to other people, Valentine’s Day is a day when I’m especially nice to myself.
This year, that meant getting cute cookies — they tasted as good as they looked(!) — plus some other swag that I’ve wanted for a while.
