Sometimes you just need the pick me up of good Southern food!
I had the second half of yesterday’s red velvet cake, and the colors looked so cool on the plate I had to take a picture.
Here’s a fun food fact: Red velvet cake is one of the few desserts that tastes better after it’s sat around for a day or so. Also, the frosting — a cross between buttercream, fondant and cream cheese — is heavenly, and it doesn’t taste the same if you put it on any other kind of cake.
