Zodiac P.I. offers a slightly different twist on the magical girl formula.
Its heroine inherited special powers and an heirloom ring that allow her to summon zodiac creatures, who provide clues and help her tell fortunes.
It’s pretty fluffy, so I was surprised by the violence level of the crimes. Lili even assists her police detective dad with a murder investigation!
However, nothing gets too out of hand, and the villains always get what they deserve.
Natsume Ando‘s art, plotting, and execution elevate this super-cute (and super short!) mystery series.
