My first introduction to Here Is Greenwood was via the anime, which may have been both a good thing and a bad thing.
The nine-volume manga is very episodic — even its longer story arcs are relatively short –and the anime debuted either toward the end (or just after the end) of the manga’s serialization. As such, the anime is practically a greatest hits compilation of the manga’s most entertaining stories.
I really LOVED the parts of the manga that I loved. Its characters are very memorable, especially the characters who received their own side stories. However, my level of enjoyment varied greatly from installment to installment.
