Lots of action in Sugar Sugar Rune, Vol. 7 and many secrets revealed about the past of Chocolat’s mother.
Some of the mysteries and twists were expected, others weren’t, but all of them were executed expertly and opened up new conflicts for the dear little witches and their friends.
It makes me wish I had friends whose kids fit the series’ late grade-school/early middle-school demographic. They’d enjoy it, and their moms would thank me for it.
It’s increasingly rare to find a story that manages to be smart, stylish, entertaining, and age-appropriate in a way that doesn’t diminish all of the aforementioned.
